I AM DURGA, I AM SHAKTI

Brimming with sweet fragrant essence of the blossoms; the Earth prepares for her divine arrival rejoicing in a hypnotic synchronicity of her celestial power…

The Unssainable

The story of Durga slaying the demon Mahishasura is a remarkable metaphor to Woman-Shakti. Symbolic to a myriad of ups and downs a woman encounters through life that she overcomes with all her wit and ‘Shakti’. For Durga represents divine power much like our modern women from all walks of life – who are the Earthly representatives of the untamed, fierce, nurturing & beautiful warrior who once deployed and triumphed a ruthless evil.

WHO IS DURGA?

The significance of Durga and her Shakti might differ to each one of us! To a writer perhaps it is her quill, to an artist their muse, to a mother her kin and to self it is the belief in one’s being and sense of purpose, Perhaps, to some of us it is dressing up each day, choosing our armour.

To us, it is our relationship with the craft and traditions we hold so close but also our relationship with the hundreds and thousands of women who’ve become a part of the Raas Family over these golden years. We take immense pride in being a women-centric brand that not only takes inspiration from women and their Shakti but also experience a driven work culture that instils at The House of Frontier Raas. Durga Puja comes once every year, but for us, it is an everyday affair, for we see Durga in each woman - driven & striving.
